Club56
Years 5 & 6
Club56 is a fortnightly extra-curricular activity which fosters the human and personal development of girls in years 5 & 6. The activities vary in nature, but always include an element of character formation, and at least once a term, community work. More than an ordinary youth group, Heathgrove offers a holistic approach to the use of time outside of school.
Club56 meets fortnightly on Saturdays from 2-5 pm. It is divided into two geographic groups, Heathgrove (East) and Cooinda (South East). For more details on either club, please see the dates below.

Fortnightly activities, summer camps, peer mentoring.
Club56 is run by volunteers (university students and young professional women) who also serve as role models and mentors. Activities are held fortnightly on a Saturday afternoon (2-5 pm). A four-day summer camp is also offered to complement these activities.
In order to aid the personal development of the girls, Heathgrove's activities also include informal, individual mentoring from the club leader. Mentoring helps the girls to work on personal goals in a relaxed and safe environment.
Club staff members are also available to meet with parents regarding their daughter's participation and progress.
We work with parents in the job of forming and raising their girls especially in three areas:
Human virtues
Encouraging the girls to take their studies seriously; to develop their desire to do things well out of a sense of mission to serve. Teaching them to learn to use their freedoms (use of time etc.) conscientiously. Inspiring them be honest, sincere and upfront; to be cheerful and resilient and eager to help out.
2. Relationships
Assisting them in their relationships with others by teaching them how to be a good friend, daughter and sister to those around them.
3. Spiritual formation
Encouraging and assisting in the girls’ development of their relationship with God. Progressively teaching them to pray and have a personal relationship with God. For Catholics, allowing them o to learn to value and love confession and spiritual direction.

Fees
At Heathgrove, we try hard to make our activities and camps affordable. Everything is run on a not-for-profit basis. As well as this, Heathgrove itself is a charitable organisation (Heathgrove Study Centre Building Fund) and a registered Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR). However, there are still many expenses associated with running the Club activities, and these expenses are covered by the activity fees.
