Collection Notice

Association for Educational Projects Limited (“AEPL”) and its project, Heathgrove Study Centre (together “AEPL”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) complies with the requirements of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act), including the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and any other applicable privacy laws in Australia. Facts and circumstances of collection- We may collect your personal information including name, contact details, date of birth, etc. that is necessary for programs, services and activities operated by us. You will be made aware of when such collection occurs. Some sensitive information about you, such as health and medical information, may be collected and disclosed when relevant and when necessary to enable us to provide safe and secure programs or activities for you and other individuals. Collection may be carried out by mail, online or in person. We normally collect information directly from you but there may be circumstances where information is collected from third parties (e.g. if you have been referred by a friend to us).

Purposes of collection- We may collect your personal information to enable us to carry out our various programs, services and activities, which include but are not limited to:

  • -registering you or your child/ren into a program or activity

  • providing information about our programs;

  • direct marketing

If personal information is not collected- You are not required to provide us with your personal information, but if you do not, we might not be able to provide certain activities, programs or services to you.

Is the collection being made because of a law or Court order. Normally the collection of personal information is not due to the requirement of a law or court order. However, there may be circumstances where personal information is collected to enable us to comply with applicable laws. An example of this is the requirement for persons to undergo background checks before working with children pursuant to the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 (NSW).

The organisations we may disclosure your personal information to. We may share personal information internally with third party service providers or the public, generally if the person to whom the information relates consents to the disclosure or would reasonably expect that such disclosure may be required, or if otherwise permitted or required by law. Unless required or permitted by law, we will never publicly publish or disclose sensitive information, such as medical information, for purposes other than for which such information was collected, without your consent.

Disclosure to overseas recipients. We do not disclose personal information overseas.
